White Columns – Kennebunkport, ME. The Society is on a multi-million-dollar capital campaign to help community “chart a course for the future” and ensure that Kennebunkport’s rich maritime history will be shared with generations to come. The Society envisions rebuilding the original barn at the historic Nott house (known as White Columns) and turning it into a History Center and Maritime Gallery. There, residents and visitors can learn about the Port’s shipbuilding traditions in a museum-quality setting. Upgrades and enhancements are also planned for the historic house, house tours and period gardens. Van Sickle & Rolleri is working with the Society to provide conceptual plans and vision illustrations.
